Weird connection between then-VP George H.W. Bush and the guy who shot President Reagan
On January 20, 1981, Ronald Reagan was sworn in as president. George H.W. Bush, who had run against Reagan, was sworn in as vice president.

On March 30, 1981, John Hinckley, Jr., shot President Reagan in Washington, D.C.

On March 31, 1981, Scott Hinckley, the shooter's brother, was scheduled to have dinner at the residence of Neil Bush, the vice president's son.
Now, that's an amazing coincidence!
