2010 April 10 -- Show #23
Tom and Michele discuss their excursion to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. Tom asked the bartender at the hotel hosting the conference how many Republicans got thrown out for being drunk & disorderly. You won’t believe the answer! At least, we certainly don’t believe it! (Aside: If the establishment Republicans had any leadership ability at all, would the country be in such a mess? We’re just askin’.) At the conference, in a hilarious case of mistaken identity, a “fan” approached Tom and asked to have her picture taken with him. Hah! Michele shares a repulsive story about the parking meters in New Orleans giving another reason why she can’t wait for Mayor Ray Nagin to leave office. Also, think twice or thrice before calling 911, because you might get a huge bill just for trying to help! Michele also reads off a list of executive orders that would allow government to take control of transportation, communication, and more. And of course the topping of it all, another appearance from the one and only Vinny Ravioli.
