June 2010

2010 June 26 -- Show #34

On today’s show, Baldy is back!  Michele Gaudin and Tom Kowitz bring another great installment of Baldy and the Blonde which starts by a quick review of Tom’s hospital visit last week. Michele gives a story on her run-in with Homeland Security. Also hear some interviews that Michele gathered from a “Meet and Greet” with BP. Francois Worster of a company called Super Suck International joins the show to talk about more answers that are not being explored by anyone. And Vinny Ravioli tops everything off.

2010 June 19 -- Show #33
For Baldy, a funny thing happened on the way to the studio. He took a detour to the emergency room, where he learned he was pregnant with a kidney stone. Those of you who don't particularly like Baldy will like knowing that it HURT REALLY FREAKIN' BAD. So Michele Gaudin pilots you through these 2 hours. Michele explains how cap and trade would really (not) work, even if so-called global warming were caused by us evil humans. Tim Kerner, mayor of Lafitte, joins the show to discuss why some perfectly good plans to battle the oil catastrophe have not been put into action, the baffling botches by BP, and why he thinks the governor keeps asking for permission from the feds to do anything. Lord Christopher Monckton joins the show to discuss the problems with BP, a global agenda to institute cap and trade, and the lack of logic shown by everyone at the head of this fiasco. Councilman John Young joins the show to talk about vacuum boats being shut down and being with one of the boats that was shut down by the coast guard. Ruby Rendrag and Mary Lasseigne join the show to play some wonderful music. And Vinny Ravioli tops it all off.

2010 June 12 -- Show #32
On today’s show, Michele Gaudin and Tom Kowitz (who barely makes it on time) starts by talking about the continuing bad news of the oil gusher with the government on the sidelines. Don’t worry though because a guest column in the Times Picayune from Barack Obama assures you that he’s with you……right. That includes giving out a wrong number, mis-labeling this disaster, and where this is leaving us as a city. Charles Howser, mayor of Magnolia Springs, Alabama, joins the show to talk about his city standing up for itself in the wake of being another city affected by the oil gusher. Also, those ideas of sucking the oil with a straw? President Obama’s not for it. He unfortunately can’t do it. And Vinny Ravioli closes the show in style.

2010 June 5 -- Show #31
Finally, the government is listening to Billy Nungesser about the BP oil catastrophe. It only took 45 days. George Barisich, president of the United Commercial Fishermens Association of Louisiana, joins the show to discuss where it’s still safe to go shrimping, whether BP has approached him, and boats being stopped in the water by the Coast Guard. Also, a great interview with Mark Warren of Esquire Magazine in New York on how Louisiana is at a war on 2 fronts with containment and what to do about the oil that’s already in the water. Tom also has a big scoop for you. And Vinny Ravioli caps it all off with this edition of Baldy and the Blonde.
