Welcome to another edition of Baldy and the Blonde. Finally after a little over 3 months, somebody listened! Michele Gaudin and Tom Kowitz talk to St. Tammany Parish president Kevin Davis on his decision to not budge on moving the barges which are offering protection to Lake Pontchartrain from the encroaching oil and where the pressure may have come from to make that move. Tom DiLorenzo joins the show to talk about an earth-shattering book he authored, called The Real Lincoln, which chronicles what the “best president in American history” according to many was really like. Tom and Michele also discuss Senate bill 3081, more truths coming out on what’s in the health care bill, and a great close from Vinny Ravioli.
2010 July 17-- Show #37
Today, it’s all about the economy. Now more power is being handed to the Federal Reserve with President Barack O'Wallstreet's signing of the financial regulation bill. So what’s next? More evidence that government will be watching you more closely: Health records will now be electronic so government will know exactly what’s going on with you. Dr. Tom Woods, author of the book “Nullification” joins the show to discuss more about what nullification is and where this idea has been rooted. Dr. Walter Block joins the program to talk about how bad the economy really is, where the unemployment really stands, and what’s really going on with this economy. And Vinny is reportedly going underground, so today is a best of Vinny clip to close the show.
2010 July 10-- Show #36
Information Czar Cass Sunstein advocates government control of the Internet. Jefferson Parish councilman Chris Roberts joins the show to discuss standing up for the parish and why the federal government is ordering Louisiana around in this oil clean-up/containment. Gavin Garrison from Project Gulf Impact joins in to talk about the bad effects dispersants are having on peoples’ individual health. Dr. John Kessler of Texas A&M joins the show to talk about how much methane is coming out with every spilled barrel of oil and what harm that may cause. And Vinny puts the icing on this episode of Baldy & The Blonde.
2010 July 3-- Show #35
Happy (almost) Independence Day as Tom Kowitz and Michele Gaudin bring another packed episode of Baldy and the Blonde. This day it’s all about the state of the Republic and the Constitution, which Tom and Michele along with many of you out there surely feel is in critical condition. In the latest edition of things PresidentBarack Obama makes you go “Huh?” Also, hear a clip from Elena Kagan on the banning of full length books. Donna Marsh O’Connor joins the show to discuss the comparison of the tyranny that America broke free from in the late 1700s to what’s going on today. And Vinny Ravioli gives a lesson on the Declaration of Independence for this edition of Baldy & The Blonde.
